thisven I guess @nils intended this discussion to be a place to introduce yourself somewhat more extensive. To break the ice:
I am this.ven. I play 🎸 guitar, bass, mandolin, and 🥁 drums. For me, using FLOSS and GNU/Linux in projects is more of a given than something I have to think about. I only use free software for my services and productions to be digitally sovereign because "Free thoughts in, free music out" can hardly work with too many dependencies in the signal chain.
I also want to encourage others to follow this self-determined path. That is why I document my approach, such as building a DIY vocal booth for vocal recordings or installing and configuring a pro audio setup. I use Arch Linux by the way. 😄 Since attending an OSAMC event in the pandemic I also happen to engage in the Sonoj community and I am very glad to be here. 😃
