Speaker Tweeter Repair / 3rd party Replacement? (Was: new speakers)

I have been using my active studio monitors Event TR8 (comparable to Yamaha HS 8) since 2006 and I damaged one of them. While a repair is not out of the question this is a good opportunity for an upgrade.

Maybe you have a recommendation? I am undecided about the active / passive matter. I am not looking for a budget option, so let's not put a ceiling on the price for now.

My location is Germany, so I will most likely order them via Thomann or MusicStore Cologne, or similar.

I am using the Yamaha HS 8. When I was moving I considered replacing them with smaller ones but soon I realized that they are ideal, if you need compact monitor speakers with wide range (especially frequencies below 50 Hz). Why not getting an Event TR8 again?

I believe they are discontinued, I bought mine 18 years ago. I will replace the broken parts though.
But more important: I want something better now.

After some months I decided to get the Genelec 8030C with Subwoofer. They don't have the very-high-price features like self-adjusting for the room like the 8341 etc. but this should be plenty good for my usecases.

But now I have the broken TR8 here and want to still use them. I have attached three photographs of the broken part. Does anyone know if that is DIY-fixable. Or more likely, does this look like a standard part that I can buy from a 3rd party? The company "Event" does not exist anymore.

Is it broken only in that the membrane is pushed in or does the speaker actually not work?

Have you tried one of these contact lense suction cups to pull it out?

I tried the vacuum cleaner hose once or twice, to no avail.
The membrane is pushed in, the speaker works partially, but the high frequencies are strongly dampened.

Good idea with the vacuum cleaner. 👍️

I asked around a bit. You could use some kind of barbed needle, since this cover is just decorative and such a small hole should have little impact on functionality.

However, since the high frequencies are dampened, I guess there's rather an issue with the tweeter.
